2011 Reach for the STARS Campaign Wrap-Up...
The Reach for the STARS campaign is an annual campaign that was started in 2009 and to date has helped to raise nearly $45,000 for the Women's Employment Network. The campaign focuses on building awareness and financial support for WEN. It's a very quick, very unique and very fun campaign that allows participants (STARS) to start their own "Giving Circles" to support WEN. These "Giving Circles" can be among family, friends, co-workers, running groups, book clubs, FaceBook, church groups, sports teams, old friends, new friends, etc.
Our 2011 campaign was another great success; having raised nearly $18,500 to date. Each of our 19 STARS worked very hard to reach (and exceed) their goals and we are absolutely thrilled with their efforts! STARS were able collectively raise this impressive amount through a variety of methods: house parties, wine tastings, Silpada Parties, skating parties, FaceBook campaigns and emails to friends and family. On behalf of the women we serve, we would like to thank all of our 2011 STARS! You reached out to our community and your efforts will now help women at WEN find a brighter future for themselves and the families that depend on them, thank you!
