Jeannie: Finding her passions.

An illness and subsequent death in her family prompted Jeannie to make some difficult decisions, and a once‐promising career was put on hold. She returned to the workforce, but found herself in a series of dead‐end jobs. She knew there was something better out there.
When Jeannie came to WEN, she thought, “I’ll learn something new.” And she did. She sharpened her resume, improved her interviewing skills and dove into networking. But she also learned a few new things about herself – what her real passions are, to always keep an open mind, and that she had much to offer her classmates, and could learn a lot from them as well.
Now she urges other women to contact WEN and stay involved, as she has done. “Be a mentor. Do a mock interview. Volunteer to raise funds.” And if you are looking for a change in your career, and in your life, she passionately recommends WEN. “It’s helping women improve their lives. Making money is one thing, but you have to be happy too.”
